Ground it out, you energy vacuum! Part I

10/14/10 Edit: gah, mentioned a link then forgot to put it in. It's there now. :P
******************************************************************

Take it or Leave it Category: Take what's useful...you know the tune. :)

One of the things we chronically ill folks will say in a heartbeat is that we will do nearly anything to treat our situations and get well. Of course, a generalization that broad would need clarification and individualization after all (no Santaria or Palo Mayombe, Briyumba or Kimbisa or anything in that category for me, for example). But if we can find something relatively safe with a reasonably good chance of working, we'll take a look at it.

Once I was able to concentrate solely on getting well, I jumped into healing with both feet.  I couldn't work full time at a paying job so I determined that I would work full-time every day at getting well.  I asked every doctor I had for all the recommendations that he or she could think of.  I work closely with all my doctors and wouldn't dream of doing anything that they would disapprove.

I pondered and prayed, and several ideas presented themselves.  I consulted an exquisite crystal healer and it changed the course of my healing.  It became apparent that I had problems with my energy bodies.  While prescription medicines and a couple of supplements did their things, I began work on my energy bodies.

I define my energy body as my internal nerve structures, spine, any and all nervous systems; and my external energy body such as aura, chakra system, and the weird energy fields I have no expectations that I'll ever fully understand in this life.

Donna Eden has developed a system by which people can use their hands to manipulate their own body energies (or the energy fields of others).  I approve of her system.  First, her system gets my thumbs-up because it teaches people to use their own energy and does not utilize the energy of anything or anyone else.  It does not resemble such systems as Reiki which call on "universal energy" which, in fact, does not exist.  But that part is for another column.  Second, her system WORKS.  Third, her system is easy to understand and remember.

So after working with her system and home rock medicine (wouldn't ever consider what I do as real crystal healing), I felt better but not sufficiently better.  I began homebrewing mead and medicinal beers, foraging my semi-wild backyard for healing herbs, and then I fell and broke my neck.

Yep, I broke a bone spur off my C-5 vertebra.  Come to learn that I've got spine problems from my C-1 all the way to my tailbone.  So, I added get spinal work done to my list.

I wasn't getting good results from chiropractics.  Every adjustment seemed to trigger every symptom I had so I gave it up.

Honestly, at that point I was stumped.  I made an appointment with Pam Oslie, a psychic in California.  She had very specific--Edgar Cayce-type specific--recommendations for work on my spine that I needed.  She cautioned me that I might need rods on either side of my spine if I couldn't get the problems fixed (yeah, I've got scoliosis too).  Anybody coming at my back with a knife will get what I'd give anybody attempting to stab me in the back.  So, just don't go there, docs.

Anyway, now I'm getting superb physical therapy treatments on my neck and back according to her recommendations--very good results!!  The treatments have tremendously improved the flow of nerve impulses throughout my entire self.  If the physical therapist I were seeing had less education and experience, I don't believe he would have been able to locate the problems solely by touch.  They don't show up on x-rays or MRI but do show up--ok, get this--Pam Oslie saw them and the PT can feel them.  The doctoral student who conducted the evaluation caught every single nuance in my (lack of) balance and the PT will help with it as well.

One thing that continues to trouble me is utterly perplexing sensitivity.  I'm not sensitive - I am the sensor itself.  I'm not a careful observer - I'm the Princess from The Princess and the Pea.  That was one of my late father's nicknames for me.  He'd say, "All right, Princess and the Pea..."

I can't innumerate everything I've done to combat this, fix it, reduce it, overcome it, bury it, obliterate it, embrace it, integrate it, dilute it, give it away--you cannot imagine what I've done to address this.  I have had absolutely no success at all, none, zero, zilch.  I am becoming more and more sensitive every day.

I've carefully read and learned about my astrological natal chart as part of my healing work - hell, I've about gotten all that's out there of pharmaceuticals and Western medicine so I plunged into complementary and more esoteric, metaphysical work.

In my astrological chart, I found the reflection of my sensitivity which was comforting in a way.  It said to me that for the most part, I had not caused it; however, it is utterly part of who I am and cannot be separated from my self-ness.  According to chart progressions, I can expect it to get worse, or to say it another way, I will become more intuitive, sensitive, aware of energy, psychic, and so on as I finish up the second half of my life.  My energetic vacuum will self-upgrade to industrial strength in about 10 years.  It's bad now.  I cannot picture what it will be like in 10 years.

Before I spoke with Pam Oslie, I had read her book Life Colors: What the Colors in Your Aura Reveal and taken her online "aura color" test.  I had done my little thing and determined that she would be a good fit for what I needed to know.

She told me that, in her system, I was a "life color" that she doesn't see often:  Crystal.  Well, "Crystal" was tied for second place on the online test I took but once she described "Crystals", I was convinced that she was right.

Crystals, one might say, are no one until we're with someone.  We don't have much energetic personality so to speak until we come in contact with another person.  When we do, we suck energy from the other person and fill our aura out with the "color" of the other person.

When I'm with a "yellow", I'm yellow.  When I'm with a "blue", I'm blue.  On page 155 in her book, Pam Oslie says

Crystal is a rare Life Color.  Crystals have clear auras and are known as the "aura chameleons".  Like chameleons, their auras will change colors to match those of the people they are connecting with at the time.  They then take on the characteristics, emotions, and thoughts of that color.  Consequently, in power Crystals can get along quite well with almost anyone.  Yellows, for example, feel they can relate to Crystals who, when they are with them, act and think like Yellow.  Later when the same Crystals spend time with Sensitive Tans, the Tans feel as if they have found kindred spirits.  However, Crystals' inconsistencies can also confuse people.  One minute Crystals think and behave like Greens.  Later they can act like Blue.  The more they bond with others, the more their personalities change.  Because Crystals tend to absorb the colors of other people's auras, people can, at times, feel an energy drain when they are in the presence of Crystals.

Yep, she's got that right.  I'm a pure energy sucker and until I started working on healing my energy body, I wasn't even aware of the extent to which I was vampiring others.  If I get low on energy, I'll start looking for energy wherever I can find it.  Here I discuss the results of a test the chiropractor ran on the energy levels of my two daughters and myself, same day, same technician.  It seems I run half a tank low on a regular basis.

She doesn't have as much about Crystals in her book as she does other Life Colors.  Her best recommendation for my Crystal problems is to immerse myself outside in Nature which, to me, is only the most wonderful thing next to sex... :D

Next, more on my Crystalline self and the various Nature things I'm doing to solve my issues.  I've gotten a piece of more specific, concrete advice to chew on so to speak.

So, I'm consulting psychics and learning to read astrological charts, working with rocks and herbs and foraging wild plants from my backyard along with taking prescription medicine and going through physical therapy.

Still think there's anything I won't do to get well?  Within reason, of course?  :)

Ill-wishing

This one is rather "out there" so, as always, take what's useful and discard the rest. :)

I sustained a blow to my energy body first thing Saturday morning. I'm still recovering. Thank you to my incomparable friends for their love and help.  I'm working hard to get well enough fast enough that I won't miss physical therapy in a little while.  It has been wonderful so far and I cannot miss an appointment now!

There is a thing called ill-wishing that Christianity for sure advises against and no doubt other belief systems of good-will find wrong as well. Ill-wishing can cause bad effects in the one wished ill upon, it isn't character-building for the ill-wisher, and simply isn't constructive to resolving the problem. There are several proven and time-honored methods for deflecting ill-wishing and even turning it back upon the ill-wisher.

I only recommend what my belief system advises.  Matthew 5:43-45 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'  But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father in Heaven; for He makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."

What's sad about ill-wishing, or rather what is particularly sad about this specific event, is that I was completely uninvolved in any way in the problem that the wisher was faced with.  I was a victim of false accusation generated in her own mind.  The wisher did try prayer afterwards to "make me not hate" her but I've never hated her to begin with!  My heavens, I don't hate anybody!

This is a classic example of false accusation, bad conscience, and how it can cause true assault on someone else's energy body.  I felt the surge of hatred and anger just as truly as though she had been in front of me swinging her fist.  Her ill-wishing physically injured me just as though she had.

Some people have inborn talent to maneuver and manipulate their own energy.  They can do things like slam people they don't like and make all their friends line up and "do right".   If they're really in denial, they say things like, "people who cross me always have something bad happen to them!"  I shake my head when I hear that.  You're more likely to be causing the other person trouble yourself by nothing more sinister than your own ill-wishing.  Nothing to write home about there.

Some people are more susceptible to ill-wishing than others.  I am extremely sensitive to it, so sensitive it would defy comprehension; however, I've got references.  I have had to find ways of contending with it throughout my entire life, and it remains a problem now.

One person who has seen how ill-wishing whacks me said, "Well, quit pissing people off!"  That wouldn't have helped in this situation because I had nothing to do with it in the first place.  I don't often have much to do with things that cause people to ill-wish upon me.  I get more general crap from Christian-haters, people who hate my former employer, people who hate my friends, and that sort of thing.

I got whacked because of someone else's bad conscience, Scorpionic desire for revenge, and Leonine conviction that she is leading the way in saving the world by going after people like me.  Then she discovered that I wasn't doing anything.

Give me a freakin' break.  And keep your ill-wishing to yourself.  We're on the same side here and please keep that in mind.

When all this came to light I thought to myself, wow, some people credit me with a lot more power than I have, and some underestimate me entirely.

For the record, I'm in the middle.

Sharethis: Why We Should Worry About Prescription Drug Abuse - Newsweek

This piece of idiocy is adequately refuted by the comments left by readers.

Which adolescents are being prescribed pain meds and then becoming heroin addicts?  Which baby boomers are out-of-control with pain medication?  What if the children had been properly supervised and the adults properly supported by their families and friends?

I feel a major rant coming on and I don't need it.  They make me sicker and set me back getting well.

The goofy article grabs attention by sensationalizing pain medicine use and ends up garbling something about Viagra.  The writer expects us to see OxyContin abuse in the same light as Viagra overuse??

I've got to stop or I'll be ill.  Please do read both the articles and the comments.  If you are under any impression that prescription pain medicine use is a problem, I'll link you to some solid research into the overuse effects of acetaminophen.  When this over-the-counter drug came out the television advertisements told us there was no way to ever use too much.

Acetaminophen by brand name is called Tylenol.

Sharethis: Spirit Daily - Nun Who Attacked Vaccine...Raises Questions

Simul-posting

********************************************************************

The author of the attached article, Michael H. Brown, is an investigative journalist. Until a rather dramatic personal experience at Medjugorje, Ukraine (where the Blessed Virgin Mary is said to have been appearing daily to certain seers since 1981) which moved him to return to the Catholic Church, he was best known for the intense investigative work in which he exposed the Love Canal environmental contamination disaster. He wrote a best-selling book about Love Canal and the human misery and deaths directly attributed the still-unresolved disaster. He is reliable, thorough, non-sensational, and trustworthy in his investigative reporting. His opinion about the nun (about whose video I blogged myself), as he explains in the article, refers to her personal opinions on certain women's issues and not her credibility.

Please read the article. Please take your time. It is tedious in places and took all the concentration my poor disabled foggy brain could gin up to get through it once. Be aware that the article is deeply steeped in belief-system references. None of the belief system references has anything to do with the specific issues around the safety of the H1N1 vaccine.

Navigating through and fully understanding everything he has to say will have to come another day for me when my eyes can focus and my brain can line up thoughts orderly. This blog column has taken me two hours to write. I'm out of useful minutes for today.

To anyone who so desires to comment, I certainly would appreciate the discussion. This is an extremely important subject and the work on it absolutely must continue.

Sharethis: Frustrated by 'Intervention' Episode Featuring Migraineur, Addict ~ Somebody Heal Me by Diana Lee

Simul-posting here and at The Carmelite's Habit.

I cannot believe that the state of Migraine has come to this. The day has arrived when the media capitalized on the plight of a person with multiple health problems as well as addiction, picked out Migraine to emphasize, and made it into "good television".

I won't be able to watch the episode itself. Movement on television screens triggers vertigo; however, Diana Lee's word on this is enough for me.

Diana Lee is inviting comments from people who have watched the episode.

I'm going to be sure to tell EVERYONE I KNOW that Intervention may be reality TV, but it isn't real life.

Addiction and Migraine: both are treatable illnesses but they are not co-morbid.

Envy Me, or Hades Moons Attract: Sharethis

\
"...but the thrill we've never known
Is the thrill that'll getcha when you get your picture on the cover of the Rolling Stone."
artist Dr. Hook

Ah, envy me gals: A Rolling Stone magazine subscription promo consisting of a trial subscription that includes--a handbag with Johnny Depp on the cover of the Rolling Stone.

And the bag is mine, all mine! Well, it's really Aikichik's (thanks for modeling honey!) but we live in Castle Anthrax and have raised sharing our stuff to a sacred state.

And speaking of Hades Moons...Johnny Depp has a Hades Moon. Here's a link to his chart in the Astro-Databank maintained by Astro.com. Johnny Depp is only 3 years younger than I am so outer planet signs aren't as significant as House placements. His Capricorn Hades Moon is in his 6th house and his Jupiter is in his 9th house, like both of mine are, and he has the Taurus/Scorpio axis on his angles (his is the IC/MC angle and mine is Asc/Desc).

IMDB has an in development page for a movie version of the 1960s TV soap opera show Dark Shadows. On behalf of those of us who ran home from school as fast as we could to catch Dark Shadows every day, you're welcome for the link to Wiki.

So what has this to do with Johnny Depp? Rumor has it that he is more than interested in playing Barnabas Collins in the Dark Shadows movie, scheduled for 2011 according to IMDB. According to the Wiki article, Johnny Depp was so obsessed with Barnabas Collins that he wanted to be him. I understand. I wanted to be Doctor Julia Hoffman. There's a reason that Wiki deems Dark Shadows to be a cult series. To me Johnny Depp certainly exhibits Hades Moon characteristics. It's said he has a working electric chair in his living room.

That's one Hades Moon trait--our obsession with obsessions, frequently Dark ones. Birth charts do not make us what we are, but they certainly provide a convenient way to understand ourselves.

There's another person in the Dark with whom I share some natal chart similarities: Fr. Gabriele Amorth, the exorcist for Rome who has written the new top two books on my Amazon "Important" list (on left). No matter who you are, if you work with demons or have never dealt with them in your life that you're aware of, everyone should read those two books. People who work with demons frequently have little factual knowledge of how the Church sees the subject, people with Hades Moons who are just curious about exorcisms will appreciate Fr. Amorth's straightforward, non-superstitious information, and every Christian needs reminding. All good, the way I see it. And go disinter a life, anyone who thinks I'm picking a fight. Sheesh. Just move on.

One of Fr. Amorth's favorite movies? The original The Exorcist. True. He says it's quite accurate although the special effects are a bit exaggerated.

Fr. Amorth does not have a Hades Moon (link to his Astro-Databank chart here); however, he and I both have our Suns in the 8th House of death, sex, and the occult (and inheritances, legacies, taxes, and things of metamorphic processes of all sorts) which is ruled by--Pluto of Hades Moon fame. He and I have the Cancer/Capricorn axis on our angles (his is MC/IC and mine is IC/MC). His 8th House cusp is Taurus so he's "right at home" in the Dark. It's where he "lives" one might say. My 8th House cusp is Sagittarius so I've got a more philosophical interest in sharing about it. His Pluto is conjunction his MC and opposition his IC. My Pluto is 115o (not too far from 120o trine) my Scorpio Desc and trine my MC.

The Vatican couldn't have picked a person with a better natal chart for his job than Fr. Amorth, at least as I see it from my kindergarten perspective.

Oh, and so everything is clear: I don't talk to demons or work with them at all and I'm not really in any sort of deliverance ministry. If you need help in this area, I recommend making an appointment with your pastor or priest.

WHAT I'M SAYING IS that we Hades Moon and others with Pluto-Scorpio-related connections live in the Dark. We're all in an eternal embrace of sorts whichever your side.

Out There: I am Ophiuchus, the Serpent Bearer

It appears there is a 13th, generally unused astrological sun sign called Ophiuchus. It is generally defined as falling somewhere between November 29th and December 17th of a year. I found it when I was reading Love is in the Earth: The LIITE Fantastic and Last Testament by Melody, (c) 2007 by Earth-Love Publishing House. [At once cloyingly sentimental and egg-headed, it's not a terrifically practical book but it does keep some useful crystal information at hand such as the chemical formulas (good for figuring out which rocks have a good chance of working well together) as well as the Mohs hardness scale for more than 1,300 rocks, minerals, and other things that generally fall under the title of 'crystal'. Unfortunate that the name of the book is misspelled on its own title page but oh well...]

I was born on December 14th, making me not a Sagittarius but an Ophiuchus, by strict sun-sign reading.

Ophiuchus is the Serpent Bearer, the doctor. And true to my nature, medicine is a true love for me. Western medicine holds no charm but completing and alternative medicine traditions do. My first foray into studying completing therapies came about when I wrote a research paper for my sophomore high school English class. My topic? Honey!

I've gotten a parans fixed star reading to integrate into all this too. According to the parans reading, my rising heliacal star is Antares, the Heart of the Scorpion. Not surprising since my Sagittarius Sun is virtually unaspected (being trine only Uranus and that's it). My most aspected Light is my Scorpio Moon and it's my second most aspected planet with Pluto being first in the queue.

Hopefully I'll be able to integrate a couple of astrological readings done for me into a future column. Edgar Cayce considered astrological readings as a snapshot of a person's integral physical and spiritual nature as identified by heavenly body positions at the moment they were born.

What all that means is it's probably not learned behaviour that up to now, I've delved straight into deep, intense relationships, not passing "Go" or collecting $200 or even becoming friends first (my ex-husband began discussing marriage two days after we met and I was there--he and I share many chart similarities), and have made my most profound progress not through reflection or sharing with others, but through life and death. Transpersonal psychology, depth psychology, that's what I want to do.

The stars and planets don't cause me to be the way I am. They provide a way to identify and analyse personality and physical aspects in an understandable way. They'll give me a way to explain to analysands why one workaround might get faster and better results than another. Not likely that they'll care what their heliacal rising or setting stars are or which planet is aspected to the what in the where on their birth charts. All this will be useful to me mostly.

Three steps forward, two steps back...drinking colorless apophyllite, blue aquamarine, and rutilated quartz-charged water right now. I'm about ready to go back to the neurotologist about this Meniere's. I have spent a year working like a dog to see if I could solve my vestibular system problems through completing treatments but haven't made enough progress on that front to count, really. Keeping my energy balanced and using rose quartz both help with vertigo attacks but nothing has touched the disequilibrium that persists for weeks after vertigo attacks. I'm on the verge of needing a walker (the vestibular rehab therapists that I've seen in the last two years think I do), frequently I can't keep my balance sitting upright in bed even, and walking when I'm disequilibriated wracks my shot nerves. This is no kind of life.

What I've learned in the last year is that an integration of what we know now with what we know now is the key to health success. Both Libchik and Aikichik-sensei (Shodan as of yesterday!!) agreed this past week that in some ways, I am remarkably better now than I was two years ago. I owe much to the Crystal Healer's advice and the professional astrologers who've patiently answered my intense questions, the amazing books I've read on Jungian dream analysis and planet delineations, and the personal work I've done on my own ideals and direction.

Although I spent some years as a W-2 wage earner, mostly I've been self-employed in my money earnings. If I can ever get disequilibrium resolved, and can continue the good progress on the Migraine front, maybe I'll be able to rejoin my beloved self-employed. I'll have to find new route out for intestinal gas than through my mind (read: brain farts short-circuit my cognitive processes), but hey! I love a good challenge if I can figure out what it is. XD

"Life goes on within you and without you", as George Harrison put it in Within You, Without You. It'll go on for me whether in this life or the next. I certainly would rather be of service than to require being served, that's for sure. My birth chart is so others-oriented, I didn't seriously consider further pursuing who I was more than being an MBTI "ENTJ" until I was faced with the horrific spiritual attack that has now divided my life into "before July 2007" and "after July 2007", but the rest of who I am in fact will have to wait for a future column.

Time to scoot. The sun will come up soon and this nocturnal scorpion will be retreating underneath rocks shortly to wait out the burning sun until night falls again.

Out there: Beats "What's your sign?" as a pick-up line! :D

3/7/09 Edit to remove expired iCopyright link.

*************************************************************************************

In Japan, you are what your blood type is.

Heeheehee.

I was in my teenage years during the 1970s. The '70s saw the Ecology Movement (which I still actively participate in), discos (I suavely buffaloed my way past the waiting line into NYC's Xenon disco in 1979 XD), and the Sexual Revolution. Ah, the days of the cheesy, corny pick-up lines!

Used to be people would start conversations by asking about astrological signs. And since you're wondering...I'm Sagittarius, Moon in Scorpio with Gemini rising. My biggest deal is Mercury, which is associated with my rising Gemini and also is in my sun sign of Sagittarius. I can't slow my brain down long enough to learn to be less HIGH STRUNG...wait...is that actually right???

I've seen reporting on this Japanese blood-type movement before today but this article is particularly good. It describes how personalities and blood type have been linked.

No one wants to be stereotypically pegged, but, uhm...I'm A neg and...well...the article has me pegged. Both of my excellent Assistant Offspring are O neg. They're both generous and can be stubborn, but then, isn't eveyone like that at times?

Guess I need to get an English translation of one of those ten Japanese best-sellers and read more about it!

Actually, I'm a proponent of some aspects of blood type revelations for nutritional and stress-reduction because they work for us. Before anyone has a coronary, I ONLY follow naturopathic physician Dr. Peter D'Adamo and the Right4YourType system. He has published peer-reviewed articles and lectures on blood type and health. In the past he had been granted stage II US Federal funding for breast cancer research using--and I'm not making this up--escargot. Don't know the outcome of his research but the concept is interesting, to me at least.

I fully understand that snails for cancer simply will not make sense to anyone not familiar with Dr. D'Adamo's work. He's onto something though to be into Stage II funding for research. I've got an article started about blood type and health. Hope to have it up soon.

Dr. D'Adamo's work has been very good for us. For example, if you're an O, you may feel better if you exercise every day until you're sweaty, if you eat more lean red meat, and you should be aware of autoimmune diseases. I need to BOLO for heart disease and cancer and find gentle ways to relax and exercise. Anyone can get any disease (well, I would never have had prostate cancer because I'm a GIRL and I won't have any reproductive system cancers because I've had a complete hysterectomy), but Os are more likely to need more intensive management of autoimmune conditions and As are more likely to die of any cancer they develop, according to Dr. D'Adamo. In other words, if I do develop diabetes I should be able to do nicely with diet and exercise. If an O develops cancer, surgery and/or conservative measures should cure him or her completely.

Strenuous exercise triggers Migraine attacks consistently and has triggered Meniere's attacks at times in me. If my two aikidokas (students of aikido) don't get full, tough training sessions they get ungrounded and sick. More than a bite or two of red meat hits my gut and sits there like a rock until I'm ill. They don't feel like they've eaten if they don't have red meat three or four times a week. Grains help me feel good but make them retain fluids and gain weight. These are just our experiences--YMMV.

I know there is more to healthy life than any one isolated concept. Health isn't all about carbs, or all about trans-fats, or all about blood type. But knowledge of how your particular blood type can be a reflection of what makes you feel good and healthy can be "helpful and hopeful" and that's the only thing Edgar Cacye said his psychic readings were good for.

I'll add this: Type As physically react poorly to stress because we stay in a state of high cortisol all the time. I've had the two most stressful years of my entire life in 2007 and 2008, and now I'm disabled.

I had a big blood sugar crash this afternoon--that blood-sugar testing last Wednesday seems to have screwed me up and I haven't been able yet to get "right 4 my type" again--and I'm not going to write for a few days (or even check email) until I feel better. I need more turkey and good vegetable proteins, more plain yogurt and buttermilk, and that should square me away.

But I HAD to share this article.

Ok, so I'm aware that this whole subject is really "out there" for some of my amazing readers. But I'm up for fun so hey, Handsome Man--what's your type? ;D

Happy New Year or Please, don't anyone rescue me! :D

"...'Cause, yo, yo, we wanna know how many people in the flow,
Would like to just let yourselves go

And doowutchyalike,

Yeah, well tonight's your night..."

Doowutchyalike, Digital Underground

Happy New Year! It's gotta be better than the one we're leaving...

For the first time in YEARS I'll be totally, completely, and absolutely alone tonight, at least for a little while.

Please, don't anybody have pity and rescue me!

I'm going outside at sunset to try to catch Venus and the crescent moon in a lovely pairing in the southwestern sky. I'm going to make eggnog and put in some homemade vanilla bourbon.

If I can gin up the stamina, I'm going to give myself a full-body facial. Not many things feel as good as spa-time. And if I can do all this, it'll be amazing.

My New Year's Resolution? Oh yeah, that...

Someone I know told me recently that he sensed that I'd forgotten how to kick back and enjoy myself. After the look on my face, he asked if I had ever known how to kick back and enjoy myself? Silence from me, and he asked if I pursued responsibilities like other people pursue pleasure? I still didn't know how to answer. I'm not making this up.

Someone else once noticed that this all-work-and-no-play-Jill needed a steam release mechanism. I was too outdone with Peter Pan at the time to take him seriously.

There is this cute rap by Digital Underground called Doowutchyalike. iTunes it! Prolly better for grownups but you'll love it.

I'm not intimating that I'll be dooinwutIlike until my brains fall out (there's nothing but charcoal up there anyhow), but I'm gonna go wash my feet and not say please for a neckbone.

I'm tellin' ya, check out Doowutchyalike so these last few paragraphs will make sense!

And really, don't anyone rescue me please. I'm gonna take a bath, chill the serious mood, and do what I like, 'cause tonight's my night.

Happy New Year and in 2009, find a responsible way to do what you like. I certainly shall.
